The International Union of Railways has signed a memorandum with the FERRMED Association, according to which the main route for the carriage of goods from China to Europe will bypass Ukraine.
As the Railway Gazette informs, a scheme is attached to the memorandum, from which it follows that the main route will pass through the territory of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus. On the European part of the route, it will affect Germany and Poland.
Previously, the project was considered, according to which the route should have been laid through the Odessa, Nikolaev and Kherson regions of Ukraine. As a result, it was decided to abandon the use of the territory of this country entirely.
